About JSONKit

JSONKit is a free, open-source collection of online JSON tools for developers. It brings formatting, validation, comparison, conversion, querying and code generation together in one fast, ad-light interface, so you do not have to jump between a dozen different sites.

Why JSONKit exists

JSON is everywhere: API responses, configuration files, logs and databases. Most online JSON tools do just one thing, are cluttered with pop-ups, or quietly upload your data to a server. JSONKit was built to be the single bookmark a developer needs for everyday JSON work — quick to load, keyboard friendly, available in five languages, and respectful of your data.

Tools available

  • JSON Beautifier & Minifier

Format and pretty-print your JSON data to make it easier to read, or minify it to reduce file size without changing the data.

  • JSON Validator

Validate your JSON strings against the standard. Find syntax errors quickly with precise line numbers and error messages.

  • JSON Tree Viewer

Visualize your JSON data as an interactive tree. Expand, collapse, and explore complex nested structures effortlessly.

  • JSON Diff & Compare

Compare two JSON objects side-by-side to see differences. Visual highlighting makes it easy to spot added, removed, or modified values.

  • JSON Converter

Convert JSON data to other popular formats like YAML, XML, and CSV. You can also convert these formats back to JSON.

  • JSONPath Query

Extract data from JSON using JSONPath expressions. Query nested objects and arrays with powerful path syntax.

  • JSON Escape & Unescape

Escape JSON strings for embedding in other JSON or code, or unescape previously escaped JSON strings back to their original format.

  • JSON Repair

Automatically fix malformed JSON. Repairs common issues like trailing commas, missing quotes, single quotes, and comments.

  • JSON Schema Validator

Validate your JSON data against a JSON Schema. Ensure your data conforms to a defined structure with detailed error reporting.

  • JSON Graph Visualizer

Visualize your JSON data as an interactive node graph. Explore object and array hierarchies at a glance, switch between horizontal and vertical layouts, and understand data relationships intuitively.

  • JSON to Code Converter

Generate type definitions and class structures for TypeScript, Go, Python, and more from your JSON data.

How your data is handled

Almost every tool on JSONKit runs entirely in your browser: the JSON you paste is parsed, formatted, validated and compared on your own device and is never sent anywhere. The one exception is JSON to Code, which sends your JSON sample to our server to generate type definitions and returns the result immediately; the input is not logged or stored. See the Privacy Policy for details about cookies and analytics.

Who builds it

JSONKit is designed, built and maintained by Ktaewon, an independent software developer who works with JSON APIs every day. Bug reports, feature ideas and translation fixes from users directly shape what gets built next.

Open source

The complete source code is available on GitHub under the MIT license. You can read exactly how each tool works, report issues, suggest improvements or open a pull request.

How JSONKit stays free

All tools are free to use with no account required. Hosting and development costs are covered by a small number of non-intrusive advertisements. Ads never have access to the JSON you work with.
